'I'll be waiting for you'

Another drawing with the impossible love-theme like the last picture. This time it’s the story about this merman or actually his not the traditional merman. He’s kind of like a water snake, he lives in the ocean like a merman but because of his long tail he can move not well but passably on land. He can also breathe air but he almost never leaves the sea because as I said he is a water creature and has no warm feelings for land. It also gets quickly painful for him because his skin dries out fast so he has to return to the sea after just a short period of time. So why is he standing here on the shore then? The reason is that he has fallen in love with a beautiful woman which he has seen wandering on the beach. But his love is not returned and she flees from him. All he got left now as a memory from her is a necklace which he desperately holds on to while waiting for her return.
