Comforting Estel

Finally finished with this, I loved drawing it but the poses were a bit difficult without reference and their clothes are just crazy, damn those little details! I decided to draw this to get some inspiration for my upcoming Estel story which I hopefully will write when I have finished my latest Glorfindel/Erestor fiction. Haven’t posted any of my stories here, not sure that I will but I’ll give the url to my fan fiction account to anyone who wants it.

So this actually has a little story behind it which developed in my head while I was drawing it, I like to have background stories to my pictures. Elladan and Elrohir finds Estel on their way to a formal gathering, hence their extravagant clothing, I don’t really think they would wear something like this otherwise. The party is in celebration for some important visitors who has arrived in Imladris, so of course Elrond’s sons must look respectable. Since Estel is still pretty young he didn’t attend the feast and was suppose to be watched over by a nanny but you didn’t expect him to stick around now did you? He has way too much energy for that so he decides to go play in the gardens alone but he hurts his foot or ankle in someway. Luckily for Estel his brother went looking for him and finds him. So what you see in the picture is Elladan holding Estel while Elrohir is examining the foot/ankle. They probably became a little late to the feast but of course their little brother is more important.

Wasn’t that just great inspiration, I came up with a whole little story just by drawing a picture, lol. Yes I know, I probably think too much when I draw…
